Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of Mathematics & Science Hall at CCBC

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of Mathematics & Science Hall at CCBC

The new, state-of-the-art Mathematics & Science Hall at the Community College of Baltimore County is officially open!

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this morning celebrating the completion of the $33.9M phased renovation and addition. Serving as a key connector between the College's Main Quad, the Center for the Arts, and a parking lot to the north, the building is sited in a prominent location on the College's Catonsville campus. Built to be aesthetically pleasing as well as functional, the 99,715-SF, LEED Silver (anticipated) classroom and laboratory complex houses three departments—Mathematics, Biological Sciences, and Physical Sciences—all having their own spaces, as well as shared spaces. The mathematics, chemistry, and environmental sciences laboratories are located in the renovated structure, while the new addition houses the biology and physics lab, a planetarium, shared classrooms, and lecture halls. GWWO served as architect-of-record with Ellenzweig as the team's design architect.
