Lauren Park Earns Her WELL AP Accreditation

Lauren Park, AIA, LEED AP BD+C has added another accreditation to her title—WELL Accredited Professional.

The WELL AP credential signifies advanced knowledge on human health and well-being in the built environment, and specialization in the WELL Building Standard—a performance-based system for measuring and certifying features of the built environment that impact human health and wellness through air, water, nourishment, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, mind, community, and innovations. It is the first building standard that is focused exclusively on the direct connection between buildings where we spend most of our time and the impacts it has on our health and well-being. The WELL Building Standard can be applied across many sectors predominantly including commercial and institutional offices, as well as retail, multifamily, residential, education, restaurant, and commercial kitchen projects.

Earning this certification denotes expertise on a range of healthy building strategies to optimize the elements for the greatest effect on our quality of life. As a certified WELL AP, Lauren will serve as the firm’s WELL liaison, providing a wealth of knowledge on healthy building strategies and exploring ways to incorporate WELL features into education environments to enhance the building’s impact on its users.
