Groundbreaking of CCBC Essex Campus' Carol Diane Eustis Center for Health Professions

Groundbreaking of CCBC Essex Campus' Carol Diane Eustis Center for Health Professions

The groundbreaking of CCBC Essex Campus’ new Carol Diane Eustis Center for Health Professions was celebrated yesterday afternoon, kicking off the start of construction on the new four-story, 120,000-SF building. The center will be named after the late Carol D. Eustis who served as dean of CCBC’s School of Health Professions for 12 years and held a 46-year career at CCBC Essex. The building will not only serve as a new gateway building for CCBC’s Essex Campus but will put a contemporary and exciting new face on the School of Health Professions.

The facility will include multiple specialized career labs, simulation labs, lecture halls, flexible classrooms, computer labs, tutoring spaces, group study areas, faculty offices, and conference rooms. Health professions housed in the building will include Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy, Emergency Medical Technology, Physicians Assistant, Massage Therapy, Medical Laboratory Testing, and CEED-Allied Health. The building is designed to achieve LEED Silver certification and is expected to be complete for the fall 2020 semester. GWWO is serving as Architect-of-Record with Ellenzweig as the team’s Design Architect and Lab Planner.
