Lauren Park, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP has been named GWWO’s Sustainability Specialist.
In this role, Lauren works closely with project teams and clients to implement a holistic approach to sustainability that focuses on impactful strategies and techniques that are also mindful of budget, schedule, and aesthetic considerations. Her early and consistent work with design teams lays a solid foundation for each project’s sustainable path, whether the project is pursuing formal certification or not. She is well-versed in the requirements of LEED, WELL, Green Globes, International Green Construction Code (IgCC), Fitwel, and Living Building Challenge. Lauren also leads GWWO’s Sustainability Committee, a research-based group that actively tracks advancements and opportunities in environmentally-responsible design. Since joining the firm in 2013, Lauren has helped usher numerous projects through the certification process, successfully achieving LEED Gold and Silver certifications. She earned a Bachelor of Science in architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
