GWWO Wins Ribbon at Annual Festival of Trees Event

GWWO Wins Ribbon at Annual Festival of Trees Event

GWWO employees spread holiday cheer again this year by constructing an extravagant gingerbread house for the Festival of Trees event November 25-27.

The annual event benefits the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, and features over 500 holiday trees, wreaths, and gingerbread houses created by members of the local Baltimore community.

This year, members of the gingerbread-making team spent countless hours constructing a gingerbread replica of the Pagoda in Baltimore’s Patterson Park. The model included jolly rancher stained glass windows, pretzel railings, and rice crispy grass, as well as fondant holiday trees, sleds, snowmen, and even the Oriole Bird! Special appearances throughout the gingerbread scene were also made by Joe Flacco, SpongeBob Square Pants, Ralphie from A Christmas Story, the Sesame Street cast, and many other fan favorites.

GWWO was delighted to win the 3rd place ribbon in the Traditional Christmas category and looks forward to participating in the event again next year.
