In December 2012, GWWO registered as a participant in the AIA 2030 Commitment, a growing national initiative that helps firms to evaluate the impact design decisions have on an individual project’s energy performance.
GWWO has committed to a leadership role in reducing energy consumption by implementing a variety of measures, including reducing environmental impact of firm operations, setting sustainable design goals for all projects, measuring and tracking the energy efficiency of all designs, and instituting staff training and education. GWWO’s Sustainability Committee will ensure that all staff members are invested in the firm’s sustainable design goals and contribute to their achievement. The overall goal of GWWO’s participation in the AIA 2030 Commitment is to become a leader in the move to carbon neutrality by the year 2030.
