On Tuesday, April 29, Calvert Marine Museum hosted the official grand opening of its new exhibit building entrance lobby.
GWWO designed the renovation to the museum’s entry sequence, which helps to foster an atmosphere of hospitality and orientation by opening up the space, bringing the exhibits forward, and expanding the museum store. Additional renovations included the conversion of the existing sloped auditorium space to a flat-floor flexible area that can be used for large school groups, community meetings, temporary exhibits, third party events, or as a lecture hall and performance space.
