Alan Reed, President & Design Principal of GWWO, has been welcomed as the new Mid-Atlantic Regional Representative for the AIA College of Fellows.
The College of Fellows (COF) is a group composed of members of the AIA who have been elevated to Fellowship by a jury of their peers, recognized as FAIA. Fellowship is one of the highest honors the AIA can award to a member. Members of the AIA are elevated to the COF not only in recognition of their achievements in architecture, but also in recognition of their contributions to society.
Alan was elevated to Fellowship in 2011 and today joins 40 other Regional Representatives across the nation whose efforts will focus on encouraging Fellowship in their regions and supporting the COF’s activities and fundraising needs. As a Regional Representative, he will serve as the liaison between the AIA Fellows within the Region and the AIA College of Fellows.
Alan and the other new representatives were announced in the February 2019 AIA College of Fellows Newsletter which included excerpts from each about their hopes for their region and for the COF. Click here to view Alan's excerpt from the newsletter on what he hopes to accomplish!
