All interior spaces were demolished, reducing the L-shaped building to its shell, and a new L-shaped structure was added to create a looped circulation route around a new courtyard space large enough to hold two classes and suitable for nature play and lunching outside. Furthermore, art and science egress to an enclosed garden, further extending the classroom. While students are learning about butterflies in science, they are drawing them in art, all while experiencing them first-hand and seamlessly blending the curriculum.
