Phil, a founding principal of GWWO, has committed his career to the design and construction of educational projects. Within the architectural community, Phil consistently worked to shape the profession serving in leadership roles with the AIA at the local, state, and national levels and on the board of the Maryland Qualifications Based Selection Council. He also served on the Baltimore County Planning Board, Baltimore County Design Advisory Panel, Baltimore County Landmarks Commission, and the Valleys Planning Council.
A graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, Phil was a founding member of the University’s Gray-Carrington Foundation, and currently serves as a trustee. He is also a former board president for the Hannah More School, serving on the board for over 20 years.
