Kate’s career has focused on creating community and educational spaces that encourage discovery, facilitate collaboration, and incite exploration. Her passion for designing environments for learning and interaction, both formal and informal, has included work on community centers, nature centers, visitor centers, K-12 schools, and higher education campuses.
In addition to being actively involved with many industry organizations, Kate currently serves as the co-chair of the Outreach Subcommittee for the AIA National Committee on Architecture for Education (CAE). She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
An ER doctor... until I decided I wanted to be an architect.
Superpower you wish you had?
Teleporting; then I could fit more into the day and wouldn’t be late anywhere!
