Morgan Students Draw Inspiration from GWWO Designs

Morgan Students Draw Inspiration from GWWO Designs

This semester, sophomore students from Morgan State University’s ARCH 202 Site & Structure class drew upon GWWO designs for inspiration for their final project.

During an office visit, GWWO Principal Mark Lapointe walked the students through the design of St. Mary’s Spiritual Center Visitor Center, Cylburn Arboretum Vollmer Center, and Fort McHenry Visitor Center. The students then toured the facilities, focusing on the challenges of site, structure, and program. The exercise culminated in the design of a Baltimore Athenaeum, which was then presented to a review panel that included Mark and other Morgan instructors.
