John Gregg, AIA, VMA, LEED AP and Scott Moir, AIA, CDT have accepted leadership positions with the Building Congress & Exchange (BC&E), an organization dedicated to promoting and strengthening all aspects of the construction industry in Metropolitan Baltimore since 1888.
John was recently elected to serve on the organization’s Executive Committee and is excited to take on a leadership role in guiding the organization. He has served on the BC&E Board of Directors since 2020 and currently serves as the Chair of the Programs Committee, which is charged with helping create virtual and in-person events along with coordinating educational seminars relevant to the membership and industry. John’s involvement and contributions to the AEC industry extend past BC&E. He is also a member of AIA Baltimore; the Association for Preservation Technology, DC Chapter; National Trust for Historic Preservation; Preservation Maryland; and Past President of the Society for the Advancement of Value Engineering (SAVE) National Capital Chapter.
This year, Scott will begin a three-year term on the Board of the BC&E Foundation, which supports education and programs to help build the construction industry’s future workforce. Scott has been an active member of the organization since 2017 and has helped to advance the efforts of the Foundation, including as a presenter for the Builders-in-Training Workshop, Construction Futures program, and the grassroots effort to assist SAFE Alternative for Education’s creation of a Workforce Development Center in southwest Baltimore. In addition to his work with BC&E, he is a member of AIA Baltimore and the Association of School Business Officials MD & DC and serves on the EDmarket Architect & Designer Council.
