John Gregg Named Associate Principal

GWWO has named John Gregg, AIA, LEED AP, AVS an Associate Principal of the firm. John joined the firm in 1999 and became a member of the management team in 2003.

Most recently, John has focused his career on park, recreation and athletic projects, including work in national, state and local parks, as well as on higher education campuses. He serves as team leader for the majority of the firm’s extensive work with the National Park Service, and is currently working with Salisbury University and the Baltimore City Department of Recreation & Parks on multiple projects for both clients.

John’s experience ranges from the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of historic buildings according to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards, to the design of entirely new facilities that are contextually appropriate within campus settings and historically-sensitive sites and pursue sustainable objectives including LEED Certification. His historic preservation work has been the topic of case studies that he has presented to a variety of audience.

John is an active member and committed supporter of organizations within the architecture and historic preservation communities, including serving as a peer reviewer for articles published in the Association for Preservation Technology’s APT Bulletin . He is also active with the Society for the Advancement of Value Engineering, currently serving as a board member for the National Capital Chapter, and is a certified Associate Value Specialist. John holds both Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Science degrees from Ball State University.
