The Board of Directors of GWWO, Inc./Architects has named Laura Werther a Principal of the firm.
Laura Werther joined GWWO in 1998 and quickly became a member of the management team in 2000. As Principal she will join Alan Reed, FAIA, LEED AP, Paul Hume, AIA, LEED AP, Mark Lapointe, AIA, and Terry Squyres, AIA, LEED AP BD+C in the leadership of GWWO. As the firm’s Director of Marketing and Business Development, Laura has been integral to the firm’s growth, helping to build the firm from a regionally-respected 18-person office to a nationally-recognized team of 55. Her outstanding leadership has led to the development of many long term and referral client relationships and the establishment of GWWO as a leader in client service and quality design.
In her role as Principal, Laura will concentrate her efforts on strategic planning and positioning the firm as a leader in the design of interpretive, higher education, and K-12 educational facilities through a broad range of marketing, promotional, and business development activities.
Laura is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services and currently serves on the education committee for the SMPS Maryland Chapter. She is a also a member of the Walters Art Museum Walters’ Enthusiasts steering committee, is involved at The Center Club, where she serves on the young members and ambassador committees, and is a member of the board of directors and communications committee chair for the Homeland Association.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration, both from Loyola University Maryland.
