GWWO Promotes Bill Melluish and Kathy Speicher Melluish

GWWO Architects is pleased to announce that Bill Melluish and Kathy Speicher Melluish have been promoted to Associates of the firm.

Joining GWWO in 2008, Bill Melluish, AIA, LEED AP, CDT has spent the majority of his 14-year career focusing on the construction documents and administration phases of various large, complex projects, including the new Salisbury University Sea Gull Stadium, Towson University West Village Commons, and Port Canaveral Exploration Tower, as well as numerous recreation center projects for Baltimore City and school renovations/additions for Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties.

Bill’s commitment to the local architectural and Baltimore community has included participation in the Building Congress & Exchange, ACE Mentor Program, the Greater Roland Park Advisory Committee, and the Keswick Improvement Association. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, is a member of the Baltimore Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and is a Construction Document Technologist (CDT) as certified by the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).

Kathy Speicher Melluish, AIA, LEED AP brings to GWWO her passion for the design of innovative spaces, forms and environments which sensitively respond to the specific constraints and opportunities of a project’s goals, site, schedule, program and budget. Kathy endeavors to promote collaborative and rigorous design processes which engage and leverage the expertise of the entire design team. Since joining the firm in 2011, she has focused primarily on educational projects at the primary, secondary and collegiate levels, including work on the new Frederick High School, the new Maryland Institute College of Art Dolphin Design Center and campus-wide renovations and additions for Greenspring Montessori School.

Kathy has served as an adjunct faculty member for Morgan State University, Towson University, and the University of Maryland, and participates as both visiting critic and student mentor at architecture and design programs within the region. She holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Architecture, with an Interdisciplinary Minor in Architectural History, from the Pennsylvania State University. She is currently on the Board of Directors for Penn State University’s Architecture Alumni Group and is a member of the Baltimore Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
