GWWO Wins First Place Ribbon at Annual Festival of Trees

GWWO Wins First Place Ribbon at Annual Festival of Trees

For the sixth year in a row, GWWO employees spread holiday cheer by constructing an extravagant gingerbread house for the annual Festival of Trees.

The event benefits the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland and features over 600 holiday trees, wreaths, and gingerbread houses created by members of the local Baltimore community.

This year, team members were inspired by the Ravens exciting Super Bowl run, spending countless hours constructing a gingerbread replica of team’s celebration at M&T Bank Stadium. The model included sour patch kid and gummy bear spectators, nonpareil stadium lights and pretzel rod goal posts. Ravens players, referees, and fans were crafted out of fondant. Cameos were also made by the Minions from Despicable Me, SpongeBob, the Beatles, and many others.

GWWO was thrilled to win the 1st place ribbon in the Most Imaginative Theme category and is already brainstorming ideas for next year!
