Bob O’Hatnick is GWWO’s man in the trenches. The overseer of the firm’s quality control program, Bob works to make sure that our “i’s are dotted and our t’s crossed.” From keynotes to complicated design details to specification selections, the way a construction team will translate our drawings and specs to built form is Bob’s focus. Once the documents are out and the construction site is humming, Bob then works with the project managers and construction administration department to see to it that what’s on paper is brought to life as intended—and that our clients get what they expect.

Bob's efforts are essential to the quality of the firm's documents, resulting in fewer change orders and a minimum of errors and omissions. Furthermore, his quality control program improves the visual and technical results as observed in the field. Beyond the results of the formal quality control program, Bob enhances the total technical quality of all office efforts by mentoring the architectural staff and sharing his knowledge in the field.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Bob also coordinates the office’s co-op program, which hosts students from the University of Cincinnati and other institutions on an on-going basis. He is past member of the Board of Directors of the Construction Specifications Institute and an active participant in various community organizations. He serves on the Architectural Review Board for Baltimore’s historic Ten Hills neighborhood and is a member of the Board of Directors of People’s Community Health Center.
