Terry Squyres moved to Baltimore from Philadelphia in 1997 to join GWWO.  She was named an Associate of the firm in 1998, became a Senior Associate in 2000, and was named an Associate Principal in 2008.

Terry has distinguished herself through the leadership and management of many of GWWO’s large, complex new construction projects, including two new award-winning visitor and museum buildings for George Washington’s Mount Vernon, new elementary schools for Montgomery County Public Schools and Harford County Public Schools, and the new 85,000-SF West Village Commons building for Towson University. Her experience also encompasses challenging renovation and addition projects and LEED Certified buildings.

Active with the Baltimore chapter of the AIA, Terry has served on the chapter’s Board of Directors and as chair of both the lecture series and the communications committee. In these roles, she was instrumental in establishing the “Ask the Architect” column in Chesapeake Home magazine, for which she was columnist from 2002-2006. Terry has also completed coursework in advanced lighting design. She served on the Board of the National Council on Qualifications for Lighting Professionals and has been a juror for the International Interior Design Association’s Lighting Design Awards.
