The new 22,230-SF Shorehaven School is a certified, non-public school serving the special education needs of moderate to profoundly developmentally disabled, autistic and multiple-handicap students.
Drawing on the historical context of rural Elkton, the design breaks down building elements to a scale appropriate for the surrounding landscape, while creating a less institutional and more welcoming environment for students and visitors. Natural light floods spaces and windows frame soothing views to nature.
