Not originally designed for music programs, the existing Levine Hall required an addition to increase rehearsal and practice spaces for McDaniel College’s Department of Music.

The two-story addition is linked to the existing building through a glass-enclosed circulation tower that provides an elevator specially designed to accommodate safe transport of the department's grand piano. The elevated link allows a pass through beneath to maintain existing campus traffic flow, while minimizing the impact of the addition on the existing building. Inside, care was taken in each space to ensure the highest quality acoustics and technical considerations while also maintaining the budget.
