Renovations to Newell Dining Hall on this urban campus modernized the facility and allowed dining services to introduce innovate and state-of-the-art service and menu concepts, while expanding menu variety.
The complete interior redesign not only improves ambience and meets the demands of today’s college students, but also increases operational efficiencies. The serpentine floor design, echoed in the ceiling form above, visually leads students towards the main servery area, while the central salad islands serve as an organizing element and anchor the space.
“I wanted to commend you and your team on the excellent design… Your choice of materials and attention to detail resulted in a project with exciting functional spaces, low maintenance, and a final construction cost that was within our budget. The finished space exceeds all of our expectations…” – David Mayhew, AIA, Director, Towson University A/E/C
