Built in 1871, this 50,500-SF National Register-listed building had degenerated into a Class “C” movie house before being transformed into the new Delaware Center for the Performing Arts. Full restoration returned the building to its original glory.
The cast iron front was restored and new interior finishes and ceiling mural were installed according to the original design description. New heating and cooling systems, lighting and a sound system were installed while maintaining the building’s historic fabric.
